This is a question that we occasionally get.

“If your service (HetrixTools) offers Status Pages as one of your services, then why is your status page hosted elsewhere and powered by a different software solution?”

It is indeed a very good question!

We do offer our own status pages; you can see a demo here:
https://demo-status-page.hetrixtools.com/
And you can learn how to build one on our platform for yourself here:
https://docs.hetrixtools.com/how-to-create-a-beautiful-uptime-status-page/

Now, the reason why, unfortunately, we cannot host our own status page on our own platform is that if our services suffer an outage, the status page is the place where we keep our users informed about it. We cannot keep our users informed of an outage on a status page that’s suffering from the same outage.

We see a lot, and I mean a lot, of our competitors hosting their own status pages on their own platforms. In an ideal world, we’d absolutely love to do the same, but the reality is that if your platform is down, you cannot keep your users notified and informed about it on a status page that’s also down.

This is why it’s crucial for you to also have your own status page, hosted on a service like ours, independent of your own network and infrastructure, so you can keep your users informed at all times.
