If you’d like to configure our Server Monitoring Agent to collect its metrics less often (default every 3 seconds), you can do so by editing the agent’s config file as follows. [available for version 2.1.x+]
Open the following agent configuration file with any text editor:
/etc/hetrixtools/hetrixtools.cfg
Locate the following section:
CollectEveryXSeconds=3
Change this value to a number above the default 3.
Save the configuration file and allow up to two minutes for the changes to take full effect.
We would not advise setting this value too high (over 10), because the less often the metrics are collected the less accurate these metrics will be.
